$25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card, Books, & Cheerios Giveaway!!!!

Did you know that over 80 percent of childcare centers serving low-income children lack age-appropriate books? And a recent study shows that the ratio of books per child in middle income neighborhoods is 13 to 1, while in low-income neighborhoods, the ratio is 1 age-appropriate book for every 300 children. So, when Cheerios provided me with a 100,000 Book Giveaway Prize Pack to review through Myblogspark I jumped at the opportunity.

The Cheerios family of cereals, First Book and Jon Scieszka, author of the popular “Trucktown” series and other children´s books have a joined together to give five states 20,000 books each! All you have to do go online with your child and test your combined knowledge of children´s books by answering trivia questions related to “Trucktown” and other great children´s books. For each trivia question answered correctly, you can cast one vote for the state you would like to receive books. The five states receiving the most votes will get 20,000 books each, for a total of 100,000 books!! Visit First Book.org to test your knowledge and start voting.

The prize pack includes the following 5 Books:

Junkyard Fort: My son LOVES this book! He constantly yells CARS, MOMMY CARS. We have read this book over and over and over until I finally tell him it's bedtime.

Sleepy Head: This is a great bed time story!

Ballyhoo Bay: My son really enjoyed this book, mostly because mom got tongue tied, this one was a lot of fun to read!

Tea with Ruby: My son was not a huge fan of this book and I can't say I was real fond of this one either. Maybe my daughter will enjoy this one when she's older.

What's Under the Bed?: This one was a lot of fun! Especially if you have a child that's scared at night time.

The Prize pack includes:

* An assortment of Cheerios books
* One of the many varieties of Cheerios Cereal
* $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble
