Regret Free Parenting by Catherine Hickem Book Review

Let's face it, our kids don't come with instructions and many times you just have to learn as you go and hope that what you are doing will create smart, well-rounded, kind people.

With Catherine Hickem's Regret Free Parenting: Raise Good Kids and Know You're Doing It Right, you may not have to wonder anymore.  Hickem offers seven principles to help maintain a strong, lifelong relationship with your children.  These principles include understanding your purpose, knowing and affirming your child, being a vision keeper, developing emotional intelligence, maintaining your position, addressing your fear and being God-dependent.

I really enjoyed this book; there were several times where I had to put the book down and wipe my tears.  But that's just me; I can be a huge sap sometimes.  The greatest thing I learned from this book was to look into the future.  Not to just think about the here and now; but to think about the long term when it comes to my children and the people they will become.

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
